Strong earthquake jolts central Iran
Charmahal-o-Bakhtiari, Oct 21 - An strong earthquake measuring 5.0 degrees on the Richter scale jolted Miankouh of Ardal town in this central province at 10:03 a.m local time.
A local official said that over 10 to 40 percent of the residential areas have been damaged in the area.
Villages had been more prone to quake damages, and the road links between villages and other parts of the region were blocked.
Rescue workers has been dispatched to the quake-hit area, but there was no word on the possible casualties or death tolls.
