عقیق: نوزادی که در نیمه خرداد سال ۱۳۲۶ در شهر کاشان به دنیا آمد این روزها یکی از نام های درخشان ادبیات و مدح مرثیه ایران است.
شش ساله بود به همراه خانواده به تهران آمد و بعد از مدتی به کار آزاد در بازار تهران مشغول شد. شاید باورش برای بسیاری از اهالی هیئت ها دشوار باشد وقتی بشنوند شعر ماندگار :
من از کودکی عاشقت بوده ام
سروده علی انسانی شانزده ساله است.
قریحه ذاتی و زانو زدن مقابل اساتیدی چون امیری فیروزکوهی، خوشدل تهرانی، مهرداد اوستا و مشفق کاشانی از او شاعری ساخت که در عصر حاضر به‌عنوان یکی از بزرگان ادبیات و شعر آیینی شناخته می شود.
حاج علی علاوه بر تبحر در شعر و ادبیات ، از همان جوانی اشراف ویژه ای در دستگاه های موسیقی داشت و تلاقی این دو از او مداحی خوش خوان و صاحب نفس و همچنین نوحه سرایی صاحب سبک ساخت. نوحه هایی که در عین ظرافت و شاعرانگی ، زبانی مقتدر دارد.
نوحه های ماندگاری که عمده آن در کتاب "یک دم" ماندگار شده است.
